Luther E. Sledge, 73, of Savoy, Formerly of Danville and Chicago, passed away at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Champaign-Urbana Nursing and Rehab in Savoy where he had been residing for the past two years. Luther was born January 24, 1945 in Chicago to Samuel and Hazel (Winn) Sledge. Luther worked as a mechanic after serving in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1965.

Graveside services for Luther Sledge will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 15, 2015 at Danville National Cemetery with escort by The Patriot Guard and Military Honors by American Legion Post 210.
