Madeline’s Obituary Sis Madeline Thrasher was born heir to Roy and Mary Thrasher on June 11,1938 in Malvern, Arkansas. She professed her life in Christ at an early age at New Director Missionary Baptist church in Perla, Arkansas where she served as a youth leader and church secretary. She enjoyed singing, cooking, sewing, playing bingo and also reading her bible, in which she was known to never go anywhere without it.

She enjoyed working hand-in- hand with her father farming and taking care of home. Madeline was known as a bookworm. Due to her intellectual learning capabilities, Madeline advanced through high school where she not only managed to graduate early but also top of her class in 1955 from A.A Wilson High School in Malvern.

Shortly after graduation Madeline was offered a job working for the government as a key punch operator in Chicago, IL. Upon returning back home to Arkansas, Madeline attended Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Malvern and in most recent years attended Roanoke Baptist church in Hot Springs where she loved both ministries.

Madeline was proceeded in death by her parents, three brother: Roy Thrasher, Bennie Lee Thrasher, Andrew Thrasher and one sister, Alice Durham. Madeline gained her heavenly wings on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. She leaves to cherish her memories her sister- Ida Carthan of Flint, Michigan; special friends: Bernice and William Wilson, Edna Toatley, Brenda Newburn, Neomia Leeper, Exie Canady, Caroline Canady and Alberta Peaches Brandon.

The Celebration of life Service for Madeline will be held at 11:00 am. , on Monday, November 12, 2018 at Brandon’s Mortuary in Malvern. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 11, 2018 from 5-7 pm at Brandons Mortuary in Malvern, Arkansas.

Burial will take place in Perla Cemetery.
