Obituary for Mrs. Madie Lou Cannon Mother Madie Lou Cannon was born March 11, 1929 in Fort Gaines, Georgia to Jerry Leonard and Emma J. Leonard. She attended Fort Gaines High School and later moved to Tangerine, Florida where she met and married her husband of twenty-seven years, Henry Cannon. She then joined Greater Mt.

Carmel Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She furthered her education at Lake Sumter Community College in Leesburg, Florida. She graduated and received her CNA Certification.

Mother Cannon dedicated a lot of time and patience to the people she cared for while she was a CNA. Nothing held her back from doing the job that she loved so much. She was always there when you needed her.

The Lord saw fit on Saturday, July 14, 2018 to call our beloved to her eternal resting place. Her departure is a deep and personal loss to her family and many friends. She will be deeply missed by them all.

Mother Cannon was preceded in death by her husband, Henry A. Cannon; son, Charles M. Williams; mother, Emma J. Leonard; father, Jerry Leonard and sister Emma Otha and brother-in-law, Charlie Doston. She leaves to cherish precious memories to her children: Natalie Session, Dawn Sweet, Nadine Wright, Henry Cannon, Charles Pinto, all of Tangerine, Florida and Marvin Cannon of Leesburg, Florida; stepson, Preston Rowe of Massachusetts; sister, Rosie Doston of Tangerine, Florida; daughters-in-law, Fiona Rowe and Deborah Cannon; sons-in-law, Carlton Sweet, Johnny Wright and James Session; god sons, Lenny Minkens and Ronald Lockhart; twenty-nine grandchildren; fifty-four great grandchildren; ten great, great grandchildren; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins; other relatives and sorrowing friends.
