OBITUARY Manuel “Bud” Baker Jr. July 27, 1950 – January 17, 2019 Funeral services for Mr. Manuel Baker, Jr. “Bud” will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday January 19, 2019 at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Attalla. Jeff Thompson and Tommy Marshall will officiate. The family will receive friends for visitation at the funeral home Saturday from 12:30 to 2, prior to the service.

Bud was retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. He was devoted in faith to God and to the promise of His resurrection. He loved hunting, fishing, and spending time on the river- boating and fishing with his grandchildren and friends.

Mr. Baker was preceded in death by; His parents, Manuel Baker, Sr. and Opal Stargel Baker; Brother, John Wilmore Baker; Niece, Michelle Sewell and Nephew, Michael Sewell. He is survived by; His wife, Judy Baker. Daughter, Michelle Baker Lee.

Grandson, Morgan Chase Lee. Three Step-children; Chad (Angie) Norton, Kimberly Norton Wyckoff, and Holley Norton Harmon (Heath). Step-grandchildren; Cameron, Cole, Samantha, and Amberly Norton of Huntsville.

Savanna (Jared) Nelson of Gadsden. Halaya and Hudson Harmon of Oxford. One brother, Richard (Cristi) Baker.

Three sisters; Sarah (Terry) Freeman, Shirley Thompson and Gail (Michael) Thompson- all of Gadsden. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be his loyal friends- Jerry Toney, Dave Chepek, Butch Howard, Roger Eaton and Tommy Hayes.

Psalms 34:4 “I sought the Lord and He answered me; He delivered me from my fears”.
