Manuel’s Obituary Manuel “Manny” Rodriguez, Jr. 71, passed away on February 2, 2019 in Lewisville, Texas. He was born on October 26, 1947 in El Paso, Texas to Manuel and Berta (Gallegos) Rodriguez, Sr. Manuel was the oldest of four children. Manny graduated from Austin High School in El Paso, Texas and completed some college before serving a short time in the Army in Vietnam.

In 1971 he married and had two children, divorcing many years afterwards. He worked at what was then Southwestern Bell (later AT&T) and continued there before retiring. Manuel was very active during his life and enjoyed camping trips with his family, playing on softball teams with his co-workers and social gatherings with friends and family.

Manny was a fan of many types of music which continued through his many years. He is survived by his daughter, Kimberly (Cliff) Couch, his mother, Berta Rodriguez, sisters; Marta (Danny) Quintana, Margaret (Phil) Rodgers, brother, Eddie Rodriguez and one grandchild. He will be lovingly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their children.

He is preceded in death by his son, Brian Rodriguez and father, Manuel Rodriguez, Sr. Private funeral services will be arranged for family by DeBerry Funeral Directors.
