Marcella F. (Luigs) Muensterman, 93, of Evansville, passed away Friday, May 17, 2019 at West River Health Campus surrounded by her family. Marcella was born May 9, 1926 in Wadesville, IN to the late August, Sr. and Louisa (Schmitt) Luigs. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Wendel Catholic Church and the Ladies Sodality at the church.

She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Surviving Marcella are her daughter, Janet (Steve) Reidford of St. Philip, IN; five sons, Tom Muensterman, Steve (Becky) Muensterman and Jerry (Cindy) Muensterman, all of Evansville and Mark (Michelle) Muensterman and Bob (Pam) Muensterman, both of Wadesville; twenty-four grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Marcella was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Jerome Muensterman in 2010; by three sisters, Julietta Baehl, Leona Luigs and Valeria Elpers; three brothers, Richard Luigs, Wilfred Luigs and August Luigs, Jr. and by a daughter-in-law, JoAnn Muensterman.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at St. Wendel Catholic Church, Rev. Ed Schnur officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Wendel Church Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family from 2:00 until 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Pierre Funeral Home, 2601 W. Franklin Street and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday at St. Wendel Catholic Church, 10542 W. Boonville – New Harmony Road, Evansville, IN 47720. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staffs of West River Health Campus and Heritage Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Wendel Catholic Church.
