Deloris M. “Maxine” Pope, age 93, of Evansville, IN, passed away at 5:58 p.m. on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Woodmont Health Campus. Maxine was born September 22, 1925, in Hatfield, IN, to James and Hazel (Horn) Porter. She was a member of Baker Creek General Baptist Church.

Maxine was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1114 Auxillary, Disabled American Veterans Auxillary and AARP. Maxine is survived by her 3 sons, Ron J. Pope of Owensboro, KY, Rick K. Pope of Boonville, IN and Nick K. Pope (Evelyn) of Evansville, IN; grandchildren, Susie, Brandon, Brian, Kimberly and Jennifer Pope; great grandchildren, Krista, Caydon, Kyle, Casey, Taylor, Thomas, Patrick, Henry, and Andrew; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband; Stanley, who passed away June 20, 2002; sister Eileen Seddon; and brother, Garman Jewel Porter.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home East Chapel – A Family Tradition Funeral Home, 5330 Washington Avenue with Pastor Carl Jones officiating. Burial will be in James Parker Cemetery in Hatfield, IN. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of service, Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at BOONE FUNERAL HOME EAST CHAPEL.
