Martha L. Schenk, 87, passed away peacefully Monday, May 6, 2019 at Linda E. White Hospice House surrounded by her loving children. She was born December 7, 1931 in Evansville, IN to the late Clarence and Mary (Eskridge) Moore. She was a hard worker and had worked at Chrysler in Evansville, Vanderburgh County Auditor’s office, Colonial National Bank and retired from Yankeetown Dock as a train dispatcher.

She enjoyed swimming, listening to music of all kinds and watching the Golf Channel. Martha is survived by her two sons, Don Schenk of Evansville and Gary (Mary Jo Dungfelder) Schenk of Huntington Beach, Ca; daughter, Sally (Jim) Memmer of Evansville; brother, Walter Moore; many nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Virginia Quick; brothers, Bill Berry, Robert Moore and Tim Moore.

Visitation will be from 10:00 -11:00 am Thursday, May 9, 2019 at University Nursing and Rehabilitation, 1236 Lincoln Ave. Evansville. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am with Father Ted Tempel officiating.

Burial will be at Park Lawn Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to University Nursing and Rehabilitation Activities Department, 1236 Lincoln Ave. Evansville, IN 47714 or Linda E. White Hospice House, 611 Harriet St, Evansville, IN 47710.
