Obituary for Margaret McCann It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Emma (Smith) McCann announces her passing after a brief illness, on Sunday, April 15, 2018, at the age of 91 years old. She was the only child born to Lillian (Kelly) and Walter Smith on March 20, 1927 in Calais, Maine. Margaret is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Raymond McCann.

She resided In Nashua, NH most of her life where she raised her family. Margaret will be lovingly missed by her children; Her daughter Elaine (McCann) St. Jacques and her husband Hector of Nashua, NH, her son Richard McCann and his wife Lucille of West Stewartstown, NH, and her son Wayne McCann and his wife Carol of Manchester, NH. Margaret will forever be remembered by her four grandchildren; Scott McCann and his husband Jeremy Gilson of Nashua, NH, Wendy (McCann) Moan and her husband Andrew of Holden, MA, Angela (McCann) Piotrowski and her husband Kevin of Manchester, NH, Stephen McCann and his significant other Erica Benson of Nashua, NH.

Margaret leaves behind five great-grandchildren whom she adored; A.J., Libby, and Nora Moan of Holden, MA, and Jonathan and Emma Piotrowski of Manchester, NH. Margaret also leaves many nieces, nephews, and close friends. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and friends by her pool, going to bingo with her friend Alline Gerow of Nashua, NH, playing cards and cribbage, going to the casino, watching the Celtics, and listening to music by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Margaret are invited to the Dumont Sullivan Funeral Home in Hudson, NH; 50 Ferry St, Hudson, NH on April 19th from 5-8 PM. A mass to celebrate Margaret’s life will be held on Friday, April 20th at 9:30 AM at St. Patrick’ s Church, Nashua NH; 29 Spring St., Nashua, NH. Eulogies will begin at 9:15am.

All are asked to please meet at church. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery in Hudson, NH. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations be made in Margaret’s loving memory to Home Health & Hospice Care; 7 Executive Park Dr., Merrimack, NH 03054.
