Margery Lynn Olmstead, 53, of North Vernon, passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018, at IU Methodist Hospital. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, 2018, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral & Cremation Service. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Vernon Cemetery. Born May 18, 1964, in Seymour, Margery was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Olmstead. She worked at the Developmental Services Inc. Workshop.

Margery loved music, socializing and the staff at her group home. Margery is survived by three brothers, Charles Olmstead of Panama City, FL, Donnie Olmstead of Palmetto, FL, and Bob Olmstead of North Vernon; three sisters, Nancy Mick of North Vernon, Margaret Holcomb of Westport and Pat Carlock of Hayden; several nieces and nephews; and her group home family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Ruth Olmstead; and a sister, Sandy Chaille.
