Born to the late Timothy Reece and Lola Betha (Staples) Thompson in Concord, TN.

She was fondly known by most as Memaw Dugger. Loving mother, memaw and great memaw. There wasn’t a baby that didn’t fall fast asleep in her loving arms.

As a much younger woman, she worked at a local hometown favorite, Bill’s Log Cabin. Her bright hazel eyes and big blonde hair charmed all who stopped in for a bite to eat. There is where she met the second love of her life, Odell.

Fond memories of Friday night treats will be treasured forever. Fresh chocolate fudge eaten straight from the pan, hot buttery popcorn that never seemed to run out and the BEST homemade ice cream that has ever in the history of mankind been made. All in a small house on Queener Road that could easily be missed.

Whatever it lacked in size, her home was always bursting with love and happy times. Although we grieve her loss tremendously, we count ourselves blessed to have been loved by her and look forward to a time when we can be with her and papaw again. She was preceded in death by her parents, the first love of her life, Sherman Stooksbury, Jr. (1966); husband, Odell Felix Dugger, (2015), son, Lewis Stooksbury (2012) and brothers Bill and Leland Thompson.

Survivors include her daughter and son in-law, Vickie and David Hooks, Long Beach, MS; granddaughters and husbands, Michelle and David Reagan, Loudon, Misty and Michael Martin, Long Beach, MS and Lori and Nathan Scott, Loudon; grandson, Ryan Jones, Knoxville; great grandchildren, Damian, Tori, Catie, Thomas, Dylan, Samuel and Tatum; great-great granddaughter, Annagayle; brothers in-law and sisters in-law, Horace and Jan Dugger and Faye and Don Gambill, all of Ripley, TN. Services honoring and remembering Margie Dugger will be held 7:00 PM Thursday, Nov. 9th, McGill-Karnes Chapel with Rev.

Scot Wells officiating. Interment 11:00 AM Friday in Loudon County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 PM Thursday prior to the service at McGill-Karnes Funeral Home, 406 Wharf ST.
