She was born in Calabria, Italy, on August 4, 1940. She raised her family in Elizabeth, New Jersey.

The quintessential “Little Italian Lady,” she came from a different era than most of us. . She stayed home, never asked for anything, cooked at home and made the best meatballs in the world.

She was predeceased by her brothers Dante, Egidio, and Albino DeSantis. She is survived by her loving children Josephine and her husband Anthony Pugliese, Anthony and his wife Susan Oliveri, Julie and her husband Mark Szemple; her grandchildren Daniel, Erica, and Sarah Maniscalco, Regina and her husband Pat Conklin, Melanie and her husband Marc Massa, Emily Oliveri and her fiance Michael Sonntag, Ryan and Steven Szemple; her great grandchildren Lucas and Marley ,and many loving nephews, nieces, and friends. She will always be in our hearts and thoughts and will be missed dearly.

The family will greet guests also be on Thursday, , January 24, 2019 6:00-9:00 pm at the Lehrer Gibilisco Funeral Home, 275 W Milton Avenue, Rahway, NJ, Memorial Services will also take place on Thursday, January 24, 2019 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
