Marie A. DiMaggio, age 88, of Spring Grove, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 18, 1930 in Chicago to Joseph and Marie (Claussen) Desiderato. Marie was employed as an executive secretary for 38 years at Motorola.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Joseph P. DiMaggio in 1990; and a brother, Joseph Desiderato. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL 60081 Interment will be in St. Michael The Archangel Cemetery, Palatine. For those wishing to send an expression of condolence, the family would greatly appreciate memorials to be designated to Vitas Hospice, 580 Waters Edge Lombard, IL 60148.
