Obituary for Marjorie Fullerton Marjorie Louise Fullerton, age 103, of Washington, Iowa, passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. Celebration of life services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating.

Calling hours will begin at noon on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at the Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Interment will be held at Columbus City Cemetery. jonesfh.com. Marjorie was born May 13, 1915 in Winfield, Iowa, the daughter of John T. and Alma Cora (Roberts) Rickey. She attended school at Crawfordsville, Wyman and Winfield and graduated from Winfield High School in 1933 with a normal training certificate.

Marjorie was united in marriage to Francis E. Fullerton on January 1, 1935, at the home of her parents. Marjorie helped her husband on the farm and worked for an insurance office until her retirement. She was a very active member of the United Presbyterian Church in Columbus Junction, Iowa, where she played the piano and organ for many years.

She often played the piano at home for her family and provided music to the residents of Colonial Manor and the United Presbyterian Home. Marjorie spent much of her time volunteering and caring for others. She was a beautiful seamstress and made her children’s clothes throughout the years.

She was also a member of the White Way Women’s Club and the Shellbark Club. She is survived by her three children: Bebe J. McFarland and husband Richard of Ainsworth, IA; Jocelyn J. Morgan and husband Butch of Washington, IA; and Ronald E. Fullerton and wife Sue of Hastings, NE; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; 8 step-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one grandson, James McFarland; brothers: Lloyd, Cloyce and Frank Rickey; sisters: Mary Burge and Alma Cornwell; and many nieces and nephews.
