Obituary for Marjorie J. Jean Carney Marjorie Jean Carney, 90, of Elizabethtown, passed away Thursday April 26, 2018 in Elizabethtown. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee to William and Ruby White Carney. Marjorie graduated from the University of Kentucky.

She worked as a medical librarian for Ireland Army Hospital. She loved helping other people. She was a long time member of First Presbyterian Church in Elizabethtown.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents. She is survived by her nephew, Kevin (Kathleen) Carney of Newbury Park, California, two great-nephews, Travis Carney and Clint Carney, a great-niece, Carleen Carney, and a close friend, Ann Swope of Elizabethtown who assisted with her care over the years. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday May 2, 2018 11:00 am at Manakee Funeral Home of Elizabethtown with Brother Mike Chamberlain officiating.

Burial will follow at the Elizabethtown Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 am to 11:00 am or to at the Manakee Funeral Home in Elizabethtown. Condolences may be expressed on-line at www.
