Obituary for Marlene Cordero (Symonds) Marlene A. Cordero, 65, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 22, 2018, at Aurora Medical Center. Born in Kenosha on April 26, 1953, she was the daughter of Roy and Betty (Orrico) Symonds. She moved to Carpinteria, CA, as a young teenager and returned to Kenosha in 2004.

On July 28, 1984, she married Ronald L. Cordero in Las Vegas, NV. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2014. Marlene was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and the Italian American Club Ladies Auxiliary.

She enjoyed playing bocce and cards. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her three children, Sara Jereda of Kenosha, Kelli (Keary Jr.) Ingrum of Palmdale, CA, and Colleen Frazier of Kenosha; her mother, Betty Orrico of Kenosha; a brother, William Symonds of Tennessee; eight grandchildren, Anthony, B.J., Christopher, Dylan, Loray, Gary, Erin, and James; and eight great-grandchildren.

Marlene is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Roy Symonds; a brother, Richard Symonds; a grandson, Keary III; and a great-grandson, Aiden. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 26th, at Proko Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 12:00 noon.
