Martha’s Obituary Funeral services for Martha Elaine “Jones” Cooper, age 79, of Shelbyville will be heldat 12 Noon Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the chapel of Doak Howell Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Coopers Cemetery. Ms. Cooper passed from this life Wednesday, January 2, 2019.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00am until the time of the service, at the funeral home. Born September 10, 1939, in Petersburg, TN, she was the daughter of the late Johnny Jones and Clara Mai Stevens. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Lee Cooper,and sisters, Mary Evelyn Griffin and Dorothy Jean Brown.

Ms. Cooper was a dietician in the Marshall County School system and in the health care industry at Glen Oaks Rehab center. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her children, James (Margaret) McDaniel of Shelbyville, Chris (Karen) McDaniel of Lewisburg, Sonya (Mitchell) Boyce of Shelbyville, & niece, Dora Higgins of Lewisburg, 5 grandchildren & 8 great-grandchildren.
