Martha Welsh January 22, 1932 – January 10, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Sympathy Card Martha Welsh, 86, of Indian Mills, NJ, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 10, 2019. Born and raised in Indian Mills, NJ, Martha and her family were one of the original settlers in Indian Mills. She was a former employee at the Medford Knitwear Mill, and a member of the Indian Mills United Methodist Church.

Martha loved her farming, her road stand and her cats. Daughter of the late William and Marion Lemmon; wife of the late Norman Welsh; sister of the late William and Samuel Lemmon; she is survived by her two sons and a daughter-in-law, Norman and Janeen Welsh, and Gary Welsh; two grandchildren, Michael Welsh (Roisin), and Sarah Welsh; two great grandchildren, Michael Welsh, Jr., and Teagan Welsh; and four nephews. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, January14, 2019, 9-11AM, at the Mathis Funeral Home, 58 N. Main St., Medford, NJ.

Funeral services will follow at 11AM, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Junior Mechanics Cemetery, Tabernacle, NJ. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Martha’s memory to Indian Mills United Methodist Church, 89 Indian Mills, Rd.

, Shamong, NJ 08088; or to the Indian Mills Volunteer Fire Co. and EMS, 48 Willow Grove Rd. , Shamong, NJ 08088. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Mathis Funeral Home, Medford, NJ.
