Obituary for Martin P. Lindfield Martin P. Lindfield, 73, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2018 at home with his family by his side. He was born on April 26, 1945, in Utica, the son of Philip and Mary (Wandley) Lindfield. Martin was a graduate of UFA.

He married Mary Jane Brown in Zion Lutheran Church and they enjoyed many years together prior to her passing on April 17, 2017. Martin proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, in Vietnam. He was employed at Utica Corporation.

Martin was a devoted son, husband, father and grandfather and brother, the epitome of a family man. He enjoyed his time spent at Vernon Downs and Saratoga, betting on the horses. Martin loved fishing, camping and time spent with his family.

He was an avid sports fan, an automotive enthusiast and an animal lover. Martin is survived by his brothers and sister-in-law, Norman and Tracey Lindfield, Frankfort and Brian Lindfield, Oriskany; children, Ron (Jan) Kessler, Utica, John Brown, Rome and Rick (Kim) Kessler, Utica; grandchildren, Stephanie, Amanda and Daniel; great grandson, Coltin and nieces and nephews, Stacy, LeeAnn, Michelle and Derek. He was predeceased by his cousin and best friend, Gordon Cooper.

Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Monday from 10 a.m. -12 p.m. at McGrath, Myslinski, Karboski & Nunn Funeral Directors, 470 French Road, Utica. Funeral services will commence immediately following visitation at 12 p.m. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Martin’s name may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care, Inc. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

Martin’s family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses and staff at Hospice & Palliative, especially Eleana, for the care and compassion shown during a difficult time.
