Obituary for Mary Ann Kayse Mary Ann Kayse, 80, of Middletown, left this world peacefully Saturday, June 16, 2018 and is now joyfully back again with our Dad and feeling the love of God. We are sad because we will miss her, but happy for her that the pain is over. Our hearts are still filled with the love she have us.

The happy memories she created and all that she taught us about love, hard work and family. Mary Ann was a native of Louisville, daughter of the late Lawrence and Alberta Kuerzi Steiner. She retired from Bank of Louisville as a head teller.

She was always there when we needed her. She loved watching her grandkids and great-grandkids and they loved to be around her. She was always trying to help others, even while she was in the Memory Care section of Magnolia Springs she tried to help the other residents when they needed something.

She was proud, determined and full of love. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her loving husband, Donald J. Kayse, Sr She is survived by her children, Donald “Joe” Kayse (Karren), Mark Kayse (Kim), David Kayse (Donna), Cheryl Cox (Doug), Julie Vatter (Scott); 10 grandchildren, Joe (Catherine), Lisa, Kevin, Jason (Jane), William, Jeremy (Amy), Joshua (Jessika), Jennifer, Amber, Justin; 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 brothers, Lawrence Steiner (Gerry) and Gilbert Steiner (Anita).

Her Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 212 Mt. Mercy Drive, Pewee Valley, Kentucky with burial in St. Michaels Cemetery, Louisville, Kentucky. Visitation will be 1 to 8p.m. Wednesday at Ratterman Funeral Home, 3711 Lexington Road “in St. Matthews”.

May God take her into his arms and reward her for a job well done. Mom, we love you and we will see you on the other side. Memorial gifts in Mary Ann’s memory may be made to Apple Patch, 7408 Hwy 329, Crestwood, KY 40014.
