Obituary for Mary Ann Troyanowski Mrs. Mary Ann (Cory) Troyanowski, also known as MooMoo to many, especially her dear grandchildren, age 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, July 14, 2018. Mary Ann was born May 14, 1931, in Erie, Pennsylvania. Mary Ann was so much, to so many…wife, mother, aunt, sister, friend and she was good at being them all.
Mary Ann had such a giving heart and loved her family and friends to the end of the earth. She enjoyed attending her grandkids activities, crocheting, baking, going to movies and traveling. Mary Ann married Frank Troyanowski on August 22, 1953 and they enjoyed 44 years of marriage together.
Mrs. Troyanowski was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She was retired from Meijer. SURVIVORS include her six daughters, Tammy (Bryon) Thornton, Kathy (Craig) Fortenbacher, Patty (Steve) Burmeister, Lori (Dave) Versalle, Sue (Scott) McAvoy, and Amy (Ed) Whalen all of Norton Shores.
Twenty grandchildren: Mary Rakestraw, Heather (Brad) Hess, Scott Mead, Eddie Fortenbacher, Brad Mead, Ryan (Liala) Burmeister, Neil Fortenbacher, Patrick Mead, Christi Burmeister, Derek Versalle, Sammy Burmeister, Mandy Versalle, Heath Thornton, Nikki Burmeister, Mallory McAvoy, Trevor Versalle, Shelby Versalle, Brady Whalen, Reid McAvoy, and Delaney Whalen. Seven great-grandchildren, two sisters Dorthy (Lawrence) Ladegast of Louisville, KY, and Onalee Locke of Erie, PA. One brother-in-law, Ed Troyanowski as well as her lifelong friend Sandy Clapper.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank (1997) and 3 brothers. VISITATION with the family will take place on Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 5 – 8:00 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100, with a Rosary to be prayed at 5:00 PM. The MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held on Friday, July 20, at 11 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (150 E. Summit Ave.
) with Fr. Phil Shangraw presiding. Burial will take place in Norton Cemetery.
