Obituary for Mary B. James Mary B. James, 69, of Anderson, passed away at her residence surrounded by family and friends on July 26, 2018. She was born on February 14, 1949 in Talladega, Alabama and resided most of her life in Anderson. Mary graduated from Anderson High School in 1968.

She worked for Delco Remy and retired after 34 years of service. She also was a beautician. She was a member of Sherman Street Church of God.

She enjoyed traveling, going to casinos, but she especially loved spending time with her family and friends. Mary is survived by her loving daughters, Yolonda Lewis and Tameka (Grady) Currie; brother, Sam Burt, Jr.; sister, Carolyn (Mack) Burt-Reese; grandsons, John Lewis, Jaylen Currie, and Gary (Tiffany) Warren; and great-granddaughter, Gia Warren. Also surviving are her special friends, Dawn, Sandy, and Lois.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Sam and Fannie Burt; and husband, John Lewis. Due to Mary’s wishes, private services were held. www.
