Mary Frances Stonehouse, 83, of Milan passed away Friday, September 21, 2018, peacefully at home. Private services and burial will be held Wednesday at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. There will be a luncheon at 12:30pm on Wednesday the 26th at Happy Joes in Milan, all are welcome to attend.

Mary Frances was born in Rock Island, the daughter of Felix and Mary Kerres. She graduated from Alleman High School in 1952. She also attended Marycrest College.

She married Jack Stonehouse on May 7, 1955 in Princeton, IL. They were married for 63 years. She retired from the Rock Island Arsenal in 1994.

Mary Frances loved to winter with her husband in Texas, tend her flower gardens, and loved spending time with her great-grandchildren. She walked everyday at the Milan canal and enjoyed playing cards. She was a faithful member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan, IL.

Her survivors include: Husband, Jack; daughters Tara (Fred) Brett of Tower, Minnesota; Kelley Stonehouse, Milan, IL. Granddaughter Cassandra (David) Mikaio, Milan, IL and great-grandchildren Nevaeh, Sienna, Mya and Mataio Mikaio. Sisters, Karen (Ken) Booker, Knoxville, Tenn.

, Sue Larson, Rock Island, IL, and brother Rich Kerres of Pacific Junction, IA. Special sister-in-law, Ruth Nielsen of Elk City, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters Joan Brown and Peggy Madison.
