Obituary for Mary H. Carie Mary Helen Carie, age 84, passed away on August 15, 2018. Mary was born in Detroit, Michigan to Mike and Sarah Kashouty. Mary graduated from Pershing High School in Detroit.

After school, Mary worked for the Army at the Detroit Arsenal for 30 years. Mary loved her family, from her immediate family to her numerous cousins. She was and avid reader, and she enjoyed spending time with her longtime friends whom she met as a child.

Mary also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino. Mary is the loving mother of Jeff (Kelly) Carie and David Carie; the beloved grandmother of Austen, Alyssa, Bryan, and the late Alexandria “Lexie” Carie. Mary is also preceded in death by her parents and her brother Jacob “Jack” Kashouty.

Mary’s family will receive guests on Sunday, August 19, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at the Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. A funeral service will be on Monday, August 20, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Meals on Wheels – Macomb County, online at payments. g2gcloud.com/macombcounty/1076.
