Mary Kathryn Armes, age 88 of Hardinsburg, KY died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab Center. She was born in Roff, KY on September 19, 1929, the daughter of the late Henry Ward and Myrtle Etta Milam Frank. Kathryn was a member of Cave Spring United Methodist Church and attended Corinth Baptist Church.

She was a former employee of Rough River Dam State Park and spent many years working in the pro shop of the Breckinridge County Community Center. Kathryn had many interests that include fishing, sewing, crocheting, anything crafty, her rose garden and she was a big UK Wildcat fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Thomas Armes, son Thomas Daniel Armes.

brother S SGT Willie Frank, sisters Lelia Kiper, Helen Galloway and Margaret Whitworth. Kathryn is survived by 2 daughters – Marynell Armes of Hardinsburg, KY Judy Armes of Roff, KY 6 grandchildren: Tina Armes, Craig Armes and his wife Kim, SaraBeth Pitts and her husband Tim, Scott Bruner, Justin Bruner and his wife Shavonna, Aaron Melton and his wife Kathy. 8 great grandchildren: Madeline and Jacob Armes, Mason and Karson Pitts, Mia and Ava Bruner, Chloe and Amber Melton.

Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at 2 PM. Burial will be in the Cave Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, 4-8 PM and Sunday after 10 AM.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Kathryn Armes Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
