Obituary for Mary Louise Thacker Calhoun City—Mary Louise Thacker, 85, passed away peacefully at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point, MS on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Born July 31, 1933 in Vardaman, she was the daughter of the late Howard Morphis and the late Willie Tallent Morphis. She attended Lloyd School, and was a member of New Providence Baptist Church.

She and her husband, Victor Thacker, were married for over 60 years until his passing in 2015. During her career, she worked at one of the most important jobs there is, that of a loving and caring homemaker. She was a beautiful soul, inside and out, and always wanted to look her best.

She enjoyed cooking and listening to country music. Above all things, she loved her family, and she cherished her time spent with her grandkids. She will be deeply missed, but her family takes comfort in knowing that she is now rejoicing in her Heavenly home.

Pryor Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Thacker family. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held Thursday, October 11, 2018, at 12:00pm at Pryor Funeral Home. There will also be a visitation on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.

Bro. Jon Stewart will be officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Madie Moore, Bobby Thacker, Billy Thacker, Joe Edmondson, Trent Edmondson, and Cody Edmondson Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jackie Parker of West Point, MS; two grandchildren, Nicholas Gibson and his wife Lacie of Brandon, MS, and Alyson Parker of West Point; she was also blessed with two great-grandchildren, Ragan Carol Gibson and Grady Allen Gibson.
