Mary’s Obituary Mary “Lucy” Back, 72, of Coal Grove passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. The Ironton native was born on October 5, 1946. The daughter of the late Myrtle Kerns and Emory Kerns.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Back. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: One sister-Barbara Hamilton Three brothers- John Kerns, Emory Kerns, Jr. and Forrest Kerns In addition to her husband she is survived by: one son-Billy (Summer) Back of Kitts Hill two daughters- LeeAnn (Scott) Taylor and Connie Cochran of Coal Grove. 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren 4 sisters- Patty (Charlie) Friley, Susie Moore, Fay Crager and Kay Thornton 2 brothers -Butch (Debbie) Kerns and Bill Kerns Many nieces, nephews, and friends A family graveside service will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, February 4th in Woodland Cemetery with Brother Andy Lovejoy officiating.

Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio is assisting the family with the arrangements.
