Mary’s Obituary Mary passed away on Thursday January 17th while in residence at the Don Orione Home in East Boston. She was 90 years of age. Born and raised in Chelsea she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria (Tondi) Troisi.

Mary attended St. Rose parochial school and Chelsea High School. She worked for many years as an assembler for A.L. Smith/Smithcraft Lighting in Chelsea. Though she never married Mary was devoted to family and home, caring for her parents and other family members.

Having no children of her own she was a doting aunt to her nieces, nephews and grandnieces and nephews. She was a lifelong resident of Chelsea and was living at Don Orione Home for the past year where she was a much-loved vibrant resident participating in the many daily activities there. In her lifetime Mary was a Boston sports fan and proud member of “Red Sox Nation” and “Fenway Faithful”, accepting any opportunity to visit the ballpark to cheer and support the home team.

She relished her quite homelife gardening around the family home, doing various arts and crafts and dining out with family at a popular local restaurant where she enjoyed her meals, deserts, comradery and playing games of chance. In addition to her parents Mary was also predeceased by several beloved siblings; Paul E. Troisi, Rose Troisi, Theresa Ernst, Anna Troisi and Emilio P. “Emmy” Troisi. She was the forever beloved sister, sister-in-law and cherished aunt and great aunt, she is survived by her dear sister Luisa Mika of Chelsea and sister-in-law Jo-Ann Troisi of Winthrop.

She is also survived by several adoring nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews. ARRANGEMENTS: Graveside services will be held in Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm St., Everett on Tuesday January 22 at 11:00 AM.
