Grace’s Obituary Grace passed away after a period of declining health on Sunday Feb. 17 in the peaceful surroundings of the home she shared with her beloved husband. She was 84 years of age.

Born and raised in Chelsea she was a dear daughter of the late Paul A. and Grace A. (Werner) Kornechuck. She attended local schools and was graduated from Chelsea High School. She was married to Richard C. Pizzano and together they made their first home in Chelsea and later settled in Woburn where she resided for many years before moving to Rye NH ten years ago.

Grace worked for many years with the Chelsea School Dept. She was an office administrator at the Shurtleff School and was Chelsea High Schools headmaster’s assistant before retiring several years ago. Grace was devoted to home and family and was an ardent animal lover.

She enjoyed Middle East and Greek dancing, her time spent at the family cottage in Harts Location, NH where she loved skiing, hiking and volunteering with the Mount Washington Observatory, assisting many overnights at the observatory. She was the beloved wife of 65 years to Richard C. Pizzano. Devoted mother of Heidi Cady and her late husband Michael.

Cherished grandmother of Jeffrey Cady and his wife Lauren of Somerville and Daniel Cady and his companion Anna Stevens of Salem. Dear sister of Paul Kornechuck and his wife Tandy of Dodge City KS, Peter Kornechuck, David Kornechuck and his wife Joann Stroh all of Rye NH, the late Carole Ross-Helliwell and S. Mark Kornechuck. ARRANGEMENTS: Her Funeral will begin from the Frank A. Welsh & Sons Funeral Home 718 Broadway CHELSEA on Saturday Feb.

23, at 12:00 P.M. Followed by a Eucharist Service at St. Lukes’ Episcopal Church 201 Washington Ave, Chelsea at 1:00 P.M. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett. Relatives and friends are most kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Welsh Funeral Home on Friday from 4 – 7 (seven) P.M. funeral home fully handicap accessible, ample parking opposite funeral home.

DONATIONS: Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to the Home for Little Wanderers, 161So.
