Mary Zabransky Steffek May 27, 1927 – February 26, 2019 Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Mary Zabransky Steffek, 91, of Hallettsville, passed away Feb. 26, 2019. She was born on May 27, 1927 to Frank J. & Antonia Motal Zabransky Sr. in Flatonia.

She married Anton Steffek on May 20, 1947 in Shiner. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of Americas and Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville. Mary is survived by: 2 sons, Gilbert Steffek of Stafford, and Phillip Steffek & wife Phyllis of Hallettsville; 3 daughters, Jeanette Puska & husband Dan of Bay City, Mildred Grahmann & husband Donald of Houston, and Patty Grahmann & husband Edward of Hallettsville; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by: her husband Anton; infant son Paulie Wayne Steffek; parents; 4 brothers, Frank Jr., Henry, Edwin and Arnold Zabransky; and sister Frances Urban. Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Saturday, Mar. 2, 2019, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Hallettsville.

Visitation: 5 pm, Friday at Kubena Funeral Home, with Rosary starting at 7 pm. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters.

Memorials: Sacred Heart Catholic Church/School or Donor’s Choice. Entombment: Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery.
