Mary Puchalski (nee Hospodar) 93, of Rahway, died Friday, June 29, 2018. She was born and raised in Sagamore, PA with 9 siblings and lived in Elizabeth and Newark before moving to Rahway in 1967. Mrs. Puchalski worked as a bookkeeper for Westinghouse Electric Corp.

in Bloomfield for 40 years before retiring November 1, 1982. She was a member of St Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church in Rahway and a member of the Union County Gabbers Club where she served as secretary from 1983-1985. She was predeceased by her husband Charles Puchalski in 1993 and her siblings ; John, Andrew, Paul, Elizabeth, Dorothy and Helen.

Mary is survived by her sister Rose, her two brothers; Edward and William , numerous nieces and nephews in other states and locally her nieces ; Kimberly Zwierzynski and Lisa Sherwin and her nephew Mark Szary who provided her with prolonged loving care . Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral , Monday,July 2, 2018, 9:30 am from the Pettit-Davis Funeral Home, thence to St Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Church in Rahway, where a liturgy will be offered at 11:00am. Interment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.

Visitation is Monday 9:30 am till the time of the liturgy. In lieu of flowers contributions to the Rahway Emergency Squad or St. Thomas the Apostle Byzantine Catholic Church, Rahway in Mary’s memory would be appreciated.
