Matthew’s Obituary Matthew D. Powell, age 29, of Nappanee, died Friday, March 8, 2019 in Goshen. He was born September 9, 1989 in Elkhart to Omer and Susan (Davies) Powell. Matthew lived his lifetime in Nappanee and was a graduate of NorthWood High School.

He worked as a mechanic. He loved fishing, camping, and being outdoors. Matthew is survived by his son, Matthew Powel; parents, Susan and Omer Powell, both of Nappanee; sister, Christi (Kenton) Haman, Syracuse; brother, Jason (Kimberly) Brown, Colorado Springs, CO; grandpa, Larry (Vickie) Davies, Lapaz; aunt, Michele (Richard) Peters, Nappanee; and uncle, Craig (Carrie) Davies, Nappanee.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Brown; grandma, Sandra James, and grandparents, Omer & Pauline Powell. Family and friends may call from 4-8 Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, March 15th also at the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in South Union Cemetery.
