Obituary for Matthew Farkas Matthew Christopher Farkas, 40, of Johnson City, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 after a short battle with cancer. He was a native of Pittsburgh, PA and son of William and Karen Abraham Farkas. Matthew worked as a buyer for Tsubaki Nakashimima (formerly N/N).

He enjoyed playing golf and loved anything related to Star Wars. Those left to cherish Matthew’s memory include: his loving wife, Anna Farkas; children, Kaitlyn Farkas, and Taylor Farkas; brother, Michael Farkas and his wife Samantha, and their daughter, Arabella, and sister, Michelle Rae. Matthew’s family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff of the fifth and sixth floor at the Johnson City Medical Center and to Dr. Scott Watson, Dr. Hodge, and Dr. Famoyin.

The family will gather to greet friends on Saturday, December 15, 2018 from 1:00 pm until a Celebration of Matthew’s life at 3:00 pm in the Sunset Room of Tetrick Funeral Services Johnson City with Pastor Mark Street officiating.
