Obituary for Mavis Duncan (Travis) Mrs. Mavis Duncan, 92, of Murray, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Spring Creek Health Care. Mavis was born June 24, 1925 in Aurora, KY to the late Lowell and Ora Ross Travis. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church in Almo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Edward Duncan on February 2, 2008; her parents; a brother, Charles Travis and a sister, Mildred Proctor. Mavis is survived by five children, Kathleen Lamb (Jimmy), Katherine Spann (Robert), Linda Housten, Brenda Hargrove, all of Murray and Michael Duncan of Sedalia; brother, Donald Travis (Sadie) of Benton; sister, Anna Lou Collins of Benton; 13 grandchildren, Tim Stalls, Monty Stalls, Paula Holsapple, Angie Outland, Shawn Heaster, Missy Russell, Deanne Benke, Jason Hargrove, Jessica Hargrove, Sandy Hargrove, Darren Hargrove, Edwina Outland, Alli Duncan; 27 great grandchildren and nine great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, April 23, 2018 at Imes Funeral Home & Crematory, downtown Murray.

Burial will follow at Murray Memorial Gardens. Brett Miles will officiate and Mavis’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors between 10:00 AM and the funeral hour at Imes Funeral Home, downtown Murray.
