Mellisa “Lisa” Bentley Shadrick March 16, 1958 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Duffield, VA – Mellisa “Lisa” Bentley Shadrick, 60 Mellisa “Lisa” Bentley Shadrick, age 60 of Duffield, VA passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Holston Valley Medical Center. She was born in Lenoir, NC on March 16, 1958, and was the daughter of the late Larkin Lawrence and Artie Bristol Bentley. In addition to her parents Lisa was also preceded in death by brothers, Junior Bentley, Billy E. Bentley and Eugene Larkin Bentley; mother and father-in-law, Lloyd and Bessie Shadrick; brother-in-law, Ronnie Shadrick.

She attended Apostolic Revival Center of Gate City and was employed by Holston Valley Medical Center. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lester Shadrick; a son, Andrew Shadrick; grandson, Brenden Shadrick; special sister-in-law, Ruth Bentley; sisters-in-law, Linda Bentley and Brenda Bentley; brothers, Danny Lee Bentley and wife Rita and Rev. James Nolan Bentley and wife Kathy; an abundance of nieces, nephews and cousins and loved ones from North Carolina and her doggie Gracie that she loved dearly.

The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14, 2019 from 12 Noon to 1 PM at Colonial Funeral Home, Weber City, VA. Funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Pastor Leonard Dixon, Assistant Pastor, Charles Thacker and Rev. Nolan Bentley officiating.

Music will be provided by Apostolic Revival Center Singers and Rev. Nolan Bentley and wife Kathy. Burial will follow at Holston View Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
