A Time To Live “Little Michael,” as he was called, grew up in the Unity Community with his parents and siblings. At an early age, Michael became a member of Greater Unity African Methodist Episcopal Church.

He was a member of the former Starlight Choir. Little Michael was a very respectful child as he grew up. He always said, “yes ma’am, no ma’am, yes sir or no sir”.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary Claire Little, Jake Brown, and Mr. Melker and Mrs. Bernice Clark, who were like parents to he and his brothers. They were very instrumental in their lives. The Joy Of His Life Michael was a man who loved his family.

His mother and brothers were his life until he was blessed with his only son, Mikel Jawan Collier. You could see the love in his face when he spoke of his son, or you saw the both of them together. He was very protective when it came to family and friends.
