Michael is survived by his mother, Samantha Means; father, Michael Ashley; brothers, Mylez Means and Katch Means; sisters, Taniah Bear Killer and Ambriella and Aviana Long Soldier; godparents, Contessa (Gerald Long Soldier) Vasquez and Stephan Ashley; grandparents, Frank (Consuelo) Means, Wilbert Means, Louis Means, Jr., Julie (Adrian) Good Buffalo, Dale Bad Wound, Crystal Whirlwind Horse, Seth Salway, Antonio (Michelle) Hernandez, Sr., Sarah (Roger) Means, Loren Little Whiteman, Sr., Mona Gutierrez, Francine Jumping Eagle and Tamarra Ashley; great grandmother, Inez Little Whiteman; great-great grandparents, Emma Waters and Antonio and Tomacita Hernandez; aunties, Kessa and Kylie Valandra, Renae Salway, Freedom, Dakota and Dezire Means, Malia Brown Bear, Crystal White Hawk, Ashley and Ashlyn Hernandez, Zariah Twiss, Lavera Bad Wound, Lakota Nollett and Brittany Ashley; and uncles, Reuben, Romero and Dante Means, Anthony Hernandez, Trey Ashley, Jason Ashley, Tyler Little Whiteman, Mason Little Whiteman, Antonio Hernandez III and Ashton Hernandez.

Michael was preceded in death by his aunt, Antonia Walks Out; grandparents, Sherri Means, Trinette Hernandez and Robert Hernandez; great grandparents, Louis and Janice Means, Verdell Mesteth, Phillip Waters, Elizabeth Jumping Eagle, Linda Lou Means-Thunder Bull and Stanley Little Whiteman, Sr.; and great-great grandparents, Robert and Rebecca Jumping Eagle. Wake Services: Two night wake service with the first night starting at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at the Youth Center in Allen, SD and the second night starting at 5:00 PM, Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the American Horse School in Allen, SD. Evening services will be held at 7:00 PM each night.
