Michael Maxwell Lynch May 26, 1945 – August 12, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Michael Maxwell Lynch, 73, of Mesa, AZ, formerly of Toledo, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 at Banner Desert Hospital in Mesa, AZ. Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at 1:30 PM at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home in Tama with Pastor John Christianson officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo.

Visitation will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 from 12:30 PM until service time at Kruse-Phillips Funeral Home. Michael was born on May 26, 1945, in Grinnell, Iowa, the son of Ben W. and Retha M. (Beason) Lynch. He graduated from Grinnell High School in 1964.

Michael served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Peggy Ann Prusha and together they had three daughters. Michael was employed as a fleet supervisor for the City of Mesa.

He was a member of the American Legion. Michael enjoyed working on cars and computers. His greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Lynch of Peoria, AZ, Amy Lynch (Aaron Lee) of Mesa, AZ, and Lisa Lynch (Dennis Lee) of Shelby Township, MI; six grandchildren, Taryn (James) Boble, Traer Ewalt, Caitlyn Wheeler, Matthew Bryant, Allyson Lynch, and Jillian Lynch; five great-grandchildren, Elijah Boble, Emerson Boble, Maxwell Ewalt, Aurora Lee, and Ava Lee; one brother, William (Norma) Lynch; two sisters, Helen Cook, and Alice Jane Wright; and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife, Peggy Ann on March 3, 2011; and two brothers, Jim Lynch and Patrick Lynch. A memorial fund has been established.
