Obituary for Michael “Mike” Ray Keeton Wilson – Graveside services for Mr. Michael “Mike” Ray Keeton, 62 of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Newport Cemetery with Bro. Dewayne Jennings and Bro. Micah Wells officiating.

Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson. Mike was born October 23, 1956 in Ardmore, OK to Mr. Wilburn “Skinny” Keeton and Mrs. Dorothy Imagene (Balthrop) Lowery. He departed from this life on Monday, November 26, 2018 in Ardmore.

Mike was raised in Stobtown and attended school at Lone Grove. He worked in the oilfield a few years before starting work at Uniroyal/Michelin in 1976. There Mike mostly worked in the Bead area of Stock Prep.

He retired in 2009 after 33 years of service. Mike always enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. He enjoyed gardening and raising quail.

He was always a hard worker and man of his word. Mike was a member of the Stobtown Freewill Baptist Church. Preceding him in death is his father, Skinny; and his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Mike is survived by his mother, Imagene Lowery of Wilson; daughters, Lori Keeton of Plano, TX, Julie Teter and husband Chuck of Olathe, KS and Megan Keeton of Lone Grove; twin brother, Steve Keeton of Wilson; sister, Kristy Lambert and husband Wade of Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Darrell Bray, James Morgan, Ray Morgan, David Brown, Jerrell Bray, Bill Pratt and Steve Robinson. Honorary bearers will be Jimmy White and Chris White.
