Obituary for Michael Stanley Turbett Michael Stanley Turbett, 37, of Broken Arrow, was born July 19, 1980 in Peoria, Illinois to Stanley and Carolyn (Bliss) Turbett and passed away Friday, May 25, 2018 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. In 2003, he received his degree in Bachelor of Science at the Spartan School of Aeronautics. Michael joined the United States Army March 5, 2004 and was a tracked vehicle mechanic.

He received an honorable discharge as a Specialist on April 27, 2008. Michael was a member of the 1st Cavalry Division while serving in combat in Iraq during OIF/OEF from October 2006 to January 2008. On July 2, 2011, he married the love of his life, Kasandra Lynn Scott in Tulsa, OK.

Michael faithfully attended Destiny Church in Broken Arrow, OK. Michael was employed in Aerospace Quality for 8 years. Those left to cherish Michael’s memory are his wife Kasandra of the home, son Jackson and daughter Isabella Turbett; daughters to Jennifer Turbett, Hailey and Kathryn Turbett; son to Judith Linder, Aiden Linder; and son to Afua Akyaw, Jason Akyaw; father and mother, Stanley and Carolyn Turbett; sisters, Carrie Drake, her husband Dave, and their children Cassie and Nick; Amy Van Ausdall, her husband Greg, and their children Megan, Kayla, Andrew and Alex; and Michael’s twin brother, Matthew Turbett, his wife, Amanda Turbett and their children Joshua and Joseph.

A family conducted memorial service will be held on June 9, 2018 at 5:00PM at Kangs Tae Kwon Do, 1123 E Kenosha Street, Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, with Pastor Donnie Echols officiating. Memorial contributions and donations may be made to Michael S. Turbett Memorial Fund at Bank of Oklahoma, 11111 E. 81st Street, Tulsa, OK 74133. The family of Michael Stanley Turbett has entrusted his cremation to Clifford D Garrett Family Funeral Home, Fort Gibson, OK.
