Obituary for Michael T. Franks Michael T. Franks, 46, Antis Township, died Wednesday evening October 31, 2018 at his home. He was born January 25, 1972 in Altoona, son of Cindy L. (Irwin) Castillo and the late Thomas J. Franks. On March 12, 2004 he married Jennifer L. Hegarty in Las Vegas, NV.

Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Carlee and Alexis both at home; his mother of Altoona; a brother, Joseph of Altoona; and father and mother in law, Dan and Charlene Hegarty of Antis Township. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Meadow L.; a brother, Jeffrey; and a niece, Amanda Jo. He was a US Navy veteran having served during the Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm.

Michael was employed as an assembly line operator at PGW Works #27, Tipton. He was a member of Reade Township Veterans Association, Bellwood UVHA, Bellwood Eagles, Eagle Riders, Coalport and Juniata VFW and Coalport Moose. Michael enjoyed hunting with his girls and brother and also fishing with the girls.

Friends will be received from 2-4 & 7-9 pm, Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Jon C Russin Funeral Home, Inc. Bellwood. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2018 at the funeral home, Pastor Randy Zitterbart officiating.

Interment, with military honors, will be at Blair Memorial Park, Antis Township.
