Michael Wayne Smith 62 of Pikeville, KY died unexpectedly, at home on Thursday, May 17, 2018. He was born February 15, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to Troy W. and Ruth Ann (Stratton) Smith. He had attended Calvary Baptist Church and was a truck driver.

Survivors include his mother Ruth Ann Smith, children Rachel (Jeremey) Cobbe, Sarah (Patrick Whiteman) Smith and Bryan M. Smith, stepdaughter Michelle Bartholomew, 10 grandchildren and siblings Ira Thomas (Gerald) Smith, Doris Elaine (Kenneth) Papp and Karen Rae (James) Scott. He was preceded in death by his father Troy W. Smith. He is remembered with love by his best friend and companion Rhonda Harris, his first wife Georgia Larson, and his second wife Linda Bowman.

Calling hours will be from 6 – 8 PM Monday, May 28, 2018 at Shorts Spicer Crislip Funeral Home Streetsboro Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the funeral home with Reverend William Snyder officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery in Streetsboro.

In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the Portage County APL, PO Box 927, Ravenna, Ohio 44266.
