Obituary of Michael Wyanski Michael A. Wyanski, 58, passed away suddenly on January 16, 2019. Mike was born on October 18, 1960 to James and Joan (Adams) Wyanski in Schenectady, NY. His family settled in Duanesburg, where he graduated from Duanesburg Central High School in 1979.

After graduation Mike attended SUNY Oneonta for Meteorology then Schenectady County Community College where he earned a degree in criminal justice. Mike joined the Schenectady County Sheriffs Office in 1985 and retired from Corrections at the end of 2012. Mike and his soulmate of 27 years, Toni, were wed on June 24, 2012.

As a family-oriented man he loved taking spontaneous trips with Toni and their family. He also enjoyed training horses for Twin W Stables—which he operated with his twin brother Chris. Watching sports, playing golf—including annual outings to Myrtle Beach, and spending lots of time with his grandchildren were also things Mike cherished.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Toni (DeMatteo) Wyanski, twin brother Chris (Meg) Wyanski, brother James (Michelle) Wyanski Jr., mother-in-law and father-in-law Gayle and Joseph DeMatteo, sisters-in-law Sandra Lewis and Christine (Matthew) Picinic, daughters Amanda Murphy (Dan Gleason) and Jessica Suitto, son Joseph Suitto (Taylor Osborne), grandchildren Alexa Gleason, Vincent Murphy, Jordynn Suitto and Cynthia Richardson, and nieces and nephews Mikayla Lewis, Michael (Christina) Lewis Jr, Michael Lewis III, Aaron Wyanski, Grace Wyanski and Matt Wyanski, Brendan Haverty, Shannon Haverty, and Blake Maurer. He is also survived by his lifelong friends Karl Krulls and Randy Jerald. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Joan Wyanski, and brother John (Laurie) Wyanski.

Family and friends are invited to call on the evening of Friday, January 25th at Betz Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, NY from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 7:00 p.m., following calling hours. Interment will take place in the spring.
