Michele M. Shellhammer, 49, of Orefield, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Temple University Hospital, Philadelphia. She was the wife of Donald A. Shellhammer of Orefield; the couple was married on December 22, 2000. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of Dorothy E. (Christman) Youse of Slatington, and the late Robert N. Youse.

Michele was a graduate of Northern Lehigh High School and Allentown Business School. She was employed for Cedarbrook for 29 years, working as a medical secretary. Michele was a social member of Cetronia Fire Co. # 1, Egypt VFW Post 7293, American Legion Post 353, Northmapton and the Hockendauqua Hockey Legion 739.

She is survived by husband; mother; brother: Robert J. Youse and wife Mary; sister: Melinda and husband Michael Jacobson. A graveside service will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday May 16, 2018 at Lowhill Cemetery, 4695 Lowhill Church Rd, New Tripoli. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11 A.M. at the Cetronia Fire Co., 3950 Broadway, Allentown PA 18104.

Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
