Lewis E. Bower, 83 , of Walnutport, passed away Sunday May 6, 2018 in his home. He was the husband of the late Delores A. Bower, who passed away in August 2017. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Roth) Bower.

A proud US Navy veteran, Lewis served 2 terms in Vietnam. He was employed as a salesman and public relations in Northampton & Lehigh counties for Jerry Simcoe’s Beverages in Walnutport for 26 years. Lewis was a member of the VFW Post 7215, Walnutport and the American Legion Oplinger Hower Post 899, Walnutport.

He enjoyed the outdoors, and spending time with his loving family. Lewis is survived by daughters: Helene and husband Joseph Morrissey of Davenport, FL, Crystal and husband Eric Krauss of Walnutport, Cheryl Kresge and fiance Arron Borger of Northampton; 5 Grandchildren; Sisters: Gerry and husband Lawrence Krause, Linda and husband William DeMauriac. Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday May 12, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.

Calling hour 10 to 11 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with military honors to follow at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.
