Mildred Lindsey Coomes, 70, of Owensboro, died Saturday June 9, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. She was born in Breckenridge County on January 15, 1948 to the late William Everett Lindsey and Anna Aubrey Lindsey. Mildred was a homemaker and a member of Harvest Baptist Temple.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary S. Coomes in 2011; and a son, Andrew J. Cox, III, in 2006; and a siblings, Everett Lindsey, Linda Kirk, Sam Lindsey, and Carolyn Sue Sams. Survivors include her grandson, Stephen Cox; a great-grandson, Connor Andrew Cox; several nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. Services will be at 12:00pm on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Burial will follow in St. Raphael Cemetery in Daviess County. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until 12:00pm at the funeral home.
