Ruby Levan Burdette, 90, of Owensboro died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home. She was born on February 18, 1928 in Hebbardsville, KY to the late William Levan and Fannie Sitez Levan. Ruby was a homemaker and a member of Panther Creek Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Miller Burdette, on June 4, 1990; and siblings, William Levan, Dorothy Virgen, Doris Levan, Faye Lohwasser, Betty Lou Wright, Marjorie Hampton, Harvey Levan, Beedee Levan, Elsie Waggoner, Oral Levan, Herbert Levan, Iva Howes, and Lessie Dean Levan. Survivors include her children, Donald Burdette, John Burdette, Brenda Hale, Becky Wahl, Charlotte Burdette, Tanya Burdette, Margaret Ceryance, and Patricia Hannah; nine grandchildren; one step-grandchild; 7 great-granddaughters; 2 great-grandsons; one great-great-granddaughter; a sister, Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Hagan; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10:00am on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory.

Burial will follow in Owensboro Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2:00pm until 8:00pm and on Wednesday from 9:00am until 10:00am at the funeral home.
