Obituary for Misty Black Misty Dawn Black, 45, of Shippensburg, passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the Chambersburg Hospital. She was born September 25, 1973 in Bedford, PA. Misty was the daughter of Fay P. Banco Black of Shippensburg and the late Malcolm Lee “Mick” Black.

She was a 1992 graduate of the Shippensburg Area Senior High School and graduated as a LPN from Harrisburg Area Community College. Misty was an Agency Nurse working at various Central PA facilities. Misty also was an Office Secretary for Chamberlin and Wingert Sanitary Services, Shippensburg.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post # 6168, Shippensburg. Misty was a loving and caring mother, daughter, fiancé, sister and friend. She would light up a city with her presence and was a great cook.

Misty would want her family to know she is at peace. In addition to her mother she is survived by her son, Austin James Miley-Black of Pittsburgh, fiancé, Randy L. Chamberlin and a brother, Joel C. Black both of Shippensburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018 at 6 p.m. in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg.

Officiating will be Pastor Barbara A. Servello. Burial will be private. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services in the funeral home.
