Morris Wayne Caldwell, 78, of Wildomar, California passed away Tuesday morning December 12, 2017, at Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, California. Morris was born on September 16, 1939, in Fayette County, one of eleven children of Floyd S. and Rose Ida Archey Caldwell. Morris was a graduate of Fairview High School.

Morris served his country in the United States Marine Corps, enlisting in March of 1964. He was stationed with the 5th Marine Division at Camp Pendleton as a Combat Engineer with a tour in Vietnam. Morris was awarded National Defense, Good Conduct, Vietnam Service, Navy Commendation, and Campaign Medals.

Morris married the former Lee Aaron Jackson, who passed away in June of 1989. A son, Wayne Caldwell survives. Besides his wife and parents, Morris is preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Lawrence Caldwell; and eight sisters, Lucille Brooks, Doris Davis, Nina Clanin, Mary Helen Smallwood, Barbara Siefert, Janice Dungan, Nancy Gruell and Carolyn Stevens.

The nieces and nephews wish to express special thanks and gratitude for the help and support given to Morris by his good friend and buddy for the last twenty years, Rocky Rovedatti. Graveside services for Morris will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Lick Creek Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Fayette County Veterans Council. Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
