Obituary for Mr. Murphy Green Jr. Murphy Green, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Northside Church of Christ in Opelousas, LA, for Murphy Green, Jr (Clary) age 75, a lifelong resident of Opelousas, Louisiana who passed away at his home on Wednesday, September 05, 2018. Interment will be in the Northside Church of Christ Cemetery. Mr. Murphy Green is survived by all five of his children, Derek Greene (Michelle) of Houston, Tx.

; Troy Green (Jessica) of Opelousas, La. ; Lana Green (Lori Lastrapes) of Opelousas, La. ; Todd Green (Robin) of Carencro, La.

; Anna Green (Michael Jones) of Atlanta, Ga. He was the proud Grandfather of 5 boys: Troy Green, Jr (Allene), Joshua Greene, Nicholas Green, Drew Green and Luke Green. He was the protective Grandfather of two girls: Chastity Greene and Nichole Green-Mervil (Lucknerson, Sr.).

The caring Step-Grandfather of three girls: Nadia Charles, Breanye Starring, and Lauyrn Starring. He was the jolly Great-Grandfather of two little boys: Lucknerson Mervil, Jr. (Nichole) and Jaxon Greene (Joshua). He leaves to morn his passing, sister-in-law Leona Green, nephews, Hebert Green, Jr. (Rook), Brenda Gayle Green, Curley Green, and Charles Ray Green (Chuck), of Opelousas, La; a forever brother-in-law, Harold Vincent, Sr. of New Orleans, La.

, two lifelong brothers from other mothers, Tommy Rideau and John Standberry, as well as a host of other “Black Pot Cooking and Titos Under the Tree” relatives and friends. Murphy was filled with life and had a vibrant personality that made him unforgettable – “Peace, Power, Love, and a Hug” was one of his favorite mottos. He is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy, Sr. and Louanna Joseph Green, and his two older brothers: Sherman and Hebert Green.

Visiting hours will be observed from 10 AM to 1 PM Friday, September 14, 2018 at Northside Church of Christ in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in the Northside Church of Christ Church Cemetery. Share words of comfort with the Green family at www.
